Learn How the Science of Compassion Can Help You and Your Clients Face Life’s Challenges
Compassion. We all know it’s an important part of the therapeutic alliance. But recent advances in psychological research, theory and practice have suggested that compassion may be one of the most important processes in psychotherapeutic effectiveness.
Over the course of eight, two-hour, interactive, webinar-style sessions, you will explore how the science of compassion can be used to enhance and expand clinical work. This training is specifically designed to help Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and other behavior therapy practitioners deepen their understanding and practice of compassion focused treatment of anxiety and mood disorders.
This online workshop will take you on an experiential journey into the foundations of Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). You will discover compassionate imagery, meditation practices, and how to apply them in exposure and behavioral activation. These methods can complement and strengthen even a state-of-the-art therapeutic approach.
All sessions of this course will run on Mondays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm Eastern time, USA.
